Friends,
I've now submitted the Malayalam Flash Cards application to iTunes store, for review. With that, I'm completing my iLearning applications, for the below reasons:
- I've fulfilled my target of creating iPhone app for Tamil and few more Indian languages
- It does not help me learning anything new. To put it simple, it was boring after the Tamil app,
since I was merely working on Photoshop to each other language app (It's like dubbing a hit
movie in other languages... you just need to record the different voice).
- I really got bored with those dubbing
Having said, I'm now moving to learning new area of iPhone Development : Developing Corporate applications. It might help me in the long run, when I move back to India and join any one of those offshore majors.
Including the Tamil app, lots of people helped me in the font/word verification process to recording. As I had mentioned in the respective application page, they made those applications possible.
Thanks everyone for purchasing these apps (So far, 240+ purchases) or just following up. You were the motivation for me to move this far.
Take care.
Ela

Tamil Flash Cards - Sale Details
I thought of updating everyone, whom I ( and my friends & family) had sent the initial mail about the "Tamil Audio Flash Cards, for iPhone", with the current status of that application at Apple Store.
When I started developing that application, I never had any idea or thoughts about selling that application. Later, when I decided to sell it, I doubted the number of purchases it would get. Based on other developers' review, I thought at least 50 purchases of this app would be nice-to-have (considering the limited potential purchasers of this app: Tamil speaking, should have iphone/ipod, having kids etc). But, the result was overwhelming, I should say.
Here is the sale data of the "Tamil Audio Flash Cards" application, after 6 weeks in the Apple Store. I was really surprised by the number of countries, the purchases were made from.

Below is the country-wise purchases

Please post your comments/questions.
Thanks
Ela
